Remove/install

1

Remove the air intake hose (102) from air cleaner.

 Remove the cable tie (101) from the air intake hose.

Remove both inlet pipe (31) and outlet pipe (32) connection from power steering gearbox.

 Drain the oil from steering hose.

 Installation: Refill steering oil.

 Power steering oil (ZF-8046)

Remove split pin (33) of the drag link ball joint on both sides.

 Use a suitable circlip plier, punch and hammer to remove split pin.

Remove the steering linkage (103).

 Install the steering linkage

Remove drag link from the steering arm and pitman arm using special tool puller 625 589 00 35 00 (104).

Remove the universal joint (37) between the steering gearbox input shaft and steering column bottom shaft.

Remove the steering gearbox (105) with mounting bracket from chassis.

 Use crane to remove steering gearbox.

Remove the steering gear box mounting bracket (40) from steering gearbox.

Install in the reverse order.
