1 Safety bolt

2 Plug for connection line

N26/5 ELV control unit

Remove/install

Remove cover below steering wheel

Insert transmitter key into ignition lock

Detach plug for electric steering adjustment connection line (2) from ESL [ELV] control unit (N26/5)

Turn safety bolt (1) clockwise through 180° and remove

Installation: After insertion turn the safety bolt (1) counterclockwise as far as the stop.

Remove ESL [ELV] control unit (N26/5) from the steering shaft

Install in the reverse order

Check

Carry out function check of ESL [ELV] control unit (N26/5)

To do this, allow the steering wheel to latch with the transmitter key removed.

Adapt ESL [ELV] control unit (N26/5) using Star Diagnosis to drive authorization system

Only when replacing ESL [ELV] control unit (N26/5).
