Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury caused by brake fluid coming into contact with skin and eyes.

Only pour brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.

Check bolted connection of brake lines (1, 9, 10, 11, 12) for color coding

 Installation: Mark brake lines (1, 9, 10, 11, 12) accordingly.

Extract brake fluid from brake fluid reservoir

Detach left rear brake line (11) and right rear brake line (12) from the hydraulic unit (4)

 Collect brake fluid which runs out in a suitable container.

Seal openings of left rear brake line (11) and right rear brake line (12) and hydraulic unit (4) with suitable plugs.



 Installation: Replace the left rear brake line (11) and right rear brake line (12) if initial color coding testing color coding.

Detach left front brake line (9) and right front brake line (10) from hydraulic unit (4)

 Collect brake fluid which runs out in a suitable container.

Seal openings of left front brake line (9) and right front brake line (10) and hydraulic unit (4) with suitable plugs.



 Installation: Replace the left front brake line (9) and right front brake line (10) if initial color coding testing makes this necessary color coding.

Detach brake lines (1) from the hydraulic unit (4)

 Collect brake fluid which runs out in a suitable container.

Seal openings of brake lines (1) and hydraulic unit (4) with suitable plugs.



 Installation: Replace the brake lines (1), if necessary after initial testing of the color coding.

Unlock locking clamp (2) of electrical connector (3) and disconnect electrical connector (3)

Unscrew nuts (6)

 Replace self-locking nuts (6).



Remove hydraulic unit (4) from the hydraulic unit bracket (5)

Detach rubber mounts (7, 8) from the hydraulic unit (4)

Only when replacing the hydraulic unit (4).

Detach ABS control unit (N47-7) from the hydraulic unit (4)

Only when replacing the hydraulic unit (4).


