Only pour brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.

Remove/install

Remove cover above hydraulic fluid reservoir for brake fluid (7)



Clean

Clean area surrounding cap of hydraulic fluid reservoir for brake fluid (7)

Unscrew cap of hydraulic fluid reservoir for brake fluid (7) and extract brake fluid

Detach electrical connection (8) from brake fluid level switch

Detach feed hose (6) from hydraulic fluid reservoir for brake fluid (7)

Protect painted surfaces from brake fluid.
Otherwise damage can occur to the vehicle paint.

Remove safety bolt (10)

Pull hydraulic fluid reservoir for brake fluid (8) out of master brake cylinder (9)


Collect brake fluid which runs out with an absorbent rag.
Otherwise the vehicle paint may be damaged.

 Installation: Replace sealing rings between hydraulic fluid reservoir for brake fluid (7) and master brake cylinder (9).

Seal connections on master brake cylinder (9)

 Record plug

Install in the reverse order

Check brake system in area of hydraulic fluid reservoir for brake fluid (7) for leak tightness

Check fluid level in hydraulic fluid reservoir for brake fluid (7)


