Measuring, adjusting

Drive vehicle into chassis alignment check bay and secure it by engaging the parking brake

The measuring system must be approved by Mercedes-Benz.

Using the adapter, install the brake pedal retaining tool between the pedal and the driver's seat

 Protect the brake pedal and driver seat from damage.

Place the transmission in neutral

Move selector lever to position "P"

Open the window, exit the vehicle and close the door

 Preparations for checking steering lock. The vehicle must not be loaded again.

Switch off ignition

Attach rapid-clamping devices

Fit on measuring heads

Unlock turnplates and sliding platforms

Perform initial measurement

Check vehicle level at front and rear axle and adjust, if necessary

With Mercedes-Benz test equipment.
