Discharge compressed-air system

Support vehicle on its frame

Detach compressed air lines (1) from brake cylinders

Detach electrical connection from brake wear sensor (2)


After removing the bolts detach electrical connection axially and fit again in axial position.
Otherwise the threaded connection or the brake-mounted electrical connection may be damaged and then the brake caliper will have to be replaced.

Detach shock absorber (5) from leading axle

 Nut, shock absorber to front axle

Remove bolts (3) from air suspension bellows (9) at bottom

 Screw/bolt, air spring bellows piston to air bellows support

Remove bolts (4) from lift bellows (10) at top

 Screw/bolt, lifting bellows to axle carrier

Secure axle to prevent it falling

Unscrew nuts (7) and detach spring washers (8)

 Nut, spring U-bolt to leading axle

Lower the axle and pull out under the vehicle

Install in the reverse order
