Locking the steering blocking device

The steering blocking device (2) is located on the axle housing. In the locked condition it locks the tie rod (3) in the straightahead position.

1.1 Locking manually:

1.1.1 Move the tie rod (3) into the straightahead position.

When the wheels are fitted, drive forwards straightahead until the wheels are in the straightahead position.

1.1.2 Insert catch bolt (1) into the bore (arrow).

1.2 Locking automatically:

1.2.1 Move the tie rod (3) into the straightahead position.

When the wheels are fitted, drive forwards straightahead until the wheels are in the straightahead position.

1.2.2 Ignition: ON

1.2.3 Lift the leading axle or engage reverse gear.

The "locking leading axle" in the instrument panel must not come on.
