Tires and assembly lever

Extract/press in rear axle shaft from rear axle differential

Remove

1 Press rear axle shaft (1) out of rear axle differential (2) using assembly lever.

Use an interlayer in order not to damage the protective caps on the rear axle center assembly (2).

Install

2 Replace circlip (arrow) on shaft stub (3).

3 Press rear axle shaft into rear axle differential.

The retaining ring (arrow) must engage noticeably in the rear axle differential. Check that the rear axle shaft is seated correctly.
