Remove/install rubber mount of rear axle center assembly

Remove

 Danger!

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove rear axle center assembly (1)

Press rubber mount (2) out of rear axle carrier (4)

 To press out rubber mount (2) use the separate parts marked with A and C and use the spindle from the removal/insertion tool.

Press rubber mount (3) out of the rear axle center assembly (1) which has been removed

 To press out rubber mount (3) use the separate parts marked with A and C and use the spindle from the removal/insertion tool.



Install

Press rubber mount (2) into the rear axle carrier (4)

 To press out rubber mount (2) use the separate parts marked with B and E and use the spindle from the removal/insertion tool.

 Attach hollow cylinder (5) as shown in the illustration and press in the rubber mount (2) up to the stop.

 The rubber mount (2) and rubber mount (3) must not be mixed up otherwise the rubber mounts may be damaged.

 When installing the pressure on the hand pump must not exceed 140 bar otherwise the bearing or the hand pump may be damaged.

Press the rubber mount (3) into the rear axle center assembly (1) which has been removed

 To press out rubber mount (3) use the separate parts marked with B and E and use the spindle from the removal/insertion tool.

 Attach hollow cylinder (5) as shown in the illustration and press in the rubber mount (3) up to the stop.

 The rubber mount (2) and rubber mount (3) must not be mixed up otherwise the rubber mounts may be damaged.

 When installing the pressure on the hand pump must not exceed 140 bar otherwise the bearing or the hand pump may be damaged.
