Attaching and detaching ring gear on differential case

Detaching

1 Unscrew mounting bolts (6) of ring gear (1).

2 Leave two bolts in ring gear (1) and knock down ring gear at circumference of differential case (3) using a soft hammer.

Check the entire gear set and replace if necessary.

Attaching

1 Heat ring gear to approx. 60°C.

2 Fit ring gear on differential case and tighten new bolts .

Install new mounting bolts.
