Disassembling differential

1 Unscrew retaining bolts (13) for cover (14) on differential housing.

2 Detach cover (14).

3 Remove upper rear axle side gear (4) with shim (3).

4 Remove differential spider (7) with differential pinions (6) and spherical washers (5).

5 Remove differential pinions (6) and spherical washers (5) from differential spider (7).

6 Detach lower rear axle side gear (4) with shim (3).

7 Clean all parts and check for reusability.

 Parts which have overheated or seized must always be replaced.
