Remove

1

Remove the differential assembly

Remove the differential transversal locking

Remove the screws of the lock plates (1) and the lock plates (2)

 Mark the position of the bearing housing caps (3) on the differential carrier.

Remove the screws of the bearing housing caps (4)

Remove the threaded rings, left (5) and right (10)

 Claw wrench

Remove the bearing housing caps (3)

Remove the seal ring (9)

Remove the ring gear with the differential case (8) and the tapered roller bearing rings (6) from the differential carrier (11)

 Mark the bearing rings (6) with the respective tapered roller bearings (7).

Install

Install the bearing rings (6)

 If the same bearings are used, pay attention on the marks made during the removal to prevent that the bearing rings are interchanged.

Install the ring gear with the differential case (8) in the differential carrier (11)

Install the bearing housing caps (3) and tighten uniformly the screws (4)

 When installing the bearing housing caps, pay attention on the marks made during the removal.

Install the seal ring (9) in the right threaded ring (10), and install the threaded rings (5) and (10)

Adjusting the play of the teeth flanks on the differential assembly

Tighten the screws of the bearing housing caps (4)

Install the lock plates (2) and tighten the screws (1)

Install the differential assembly
