Remove/install

Remove the propeller shaft in the rear axle drive flange

 Support the propeller shaft.

 Bolt/nut, propeller shaft to flange connection

Drain the oil from the longitudinal differential casing



Remove the bell hub with the rear axle shaft

 Bell type hub fastening bolt to the wheel hub

 Torque wrench

Disconnect the electric connectors in the differential assembly (1)

Disconnect the compressed air pipings from the longitudinal and transversal locks

Remove the bolts (2) and differential assembly (1) of the axle bridge (3)


Use a proper equipment to secure the differential assembly (1) firmly.
Otherwise, the differential assembly can fall (1) and cause accidents or damages on the axle.

 Installation: Install two guide pins in opposite positions to aid the assembling.

Clean the sealing surfaces on the differential assembly (1) and on the axle bridge, and apply sealant compound.

Observe the different lengths and the bolts arrangement.
