1 | Drain the oil from the rear axle | ||
| Rear axle - oil change | ||
2 | Disconnect the temperature sensor plug | ||
3 | Remove the nuts and screws and remove the propeller shaft (5) | ||
4 | Remove the screws (1) and remove the axle shafts (2) | ||
5 | Install the removal device, remove the screws (6) and remove the differential set (4) | ||

6 | Clean the sealing surfaces on the axle housing and on the differential assembly (4) and apply sealing compound | Sealant, Omnifit FD 3041 | |
7 | Install the guide pins in the differential housing | ||
| Guide pin to install the differential assembly | ||
8 | Lubricate the support points (3) on the differential housing | MB multipurpose grease, 5 kg | |
9 | Supply the differential with a little amount of oil | ||

10 | Install the differential set (4) and screw the screws (6) in an alternate and crosswise way | Apply sealant to the screw (6) threads. | |

11 | Install the axle shafts (2) and tighten the screws (1) | ||
Clean the sealing surface in the axle shafts (2) flange and in the wheel hubs and apply the sealing compound. | |||

12 | Install the transmission shaft (5) | ||
13 | Connect the temperature sensor plug | ||
14 | Supply the rear axle with oil | ||
