Discharge compressed-air system

Remove wheels

Support vehicle on its frame

Remove ABS sensor

Disconnect brake wear indicator connector (5)

Label compressed air lines (4) according to connections.

 Installation: Note marking.

Detach compressed-air lines (4) from brake cylinders

With compressed air connection system "VOSS 230".

With compressed air connection system "VOSS 232" (NG 8, 12) or "SCHÄFER SDF" (NG 6).

 Installation: Check O-rings and replace if necessary.



Detach compressed-air line (13) from differential lock

 Installation: Replace sealing rings.

Unplug connector (14) from differential lock

Unplug vent line (3) from axle housing

Detach ALB linkage (1)

Detach propeller shaft from rear axle (12)

 Secure propeller shaft to prevent it from falling.

Support rear axle

Detach shock absorber (10) at rear axle bearing bracket (8).



Remove spring bracket (2), spring seat (6) and spring pad (7)

 Fold stabilizer bar downwards.



Lower rear axle and take out under the vehicle

 Installation: lightly grease mounting bores for center bolts with leaf spring grease. Raise rear axle so that the heart bolts are inserted into the mounting holes.
