Remove/install

Remove wheels.

Support vehicle on vehicle frame.

Remove ABS sensor.

Remove compressed-air lines (7) of combination brake cylinders and compressed-air line from differential lock.

With compressed air connection system "VOSS 230"

Remove electrical connector (5) from brake pad wear sensor.

Remove bleed lines (3, 4) from rear axle housing.

Remove electrical connector (9, 13).

Remove propeller shaft from rear axle.

 Detach at drive flange and additionally, on vehicles with rear axle with through-drive, at output flange of through-drive shaft, and secure against falling.

Unhook air suspension linkage (6) from rear axle.

Remove shock absorbers (8) from air bellows support.

 Bolts, shock absorber to air suspension air bellows support

Bleed air suspension system.

Unscrew bolt (14) from air suspension bellows.

Remove trailing arms from vehicle frame.

 Screw connection, anti-roll bar to bearing bracket

Remove wishbone control arm (1) from steering bracket on axle housing and secure against falling down.

 Bolt, wishbone control arm to bearing bracket on rear axle

Lower rear axle and pull out from under vehicle.

Remove air suspension support on rear axle.

 Only if rear axle is replaced.
