1 | Bleed brake cylinder (13) | For by actuating the parking brake, this operates the brake cylinder by spring load and, at the same time, bleeds it. | |

3 | Unscrew compressed air lines at the connections (arrow) to the rapid vent valve (19) | All lines must be unpressurized. Remove straps fixing lines to rear axle if necessary. | |
4 | Unscrew compressed air line at connection (arrow) to brake cylinder (13) | All lines must be unpressurized. | |
5 | Disconnect cable to ABS sensor at connector (6) | ||
6 | Disconnect cable to brake lining wear sensor at connector (7) | ||
7 | Pull off connector to brake cylinder pressure switch | ||
8 | Unscrew propeller shaft (5) from drive flange (11) | If the propeller shaft (5) is separated at the telescopic section, the positions of the parts with respect to each other must first be marked. | |

9 | Unhook piston rod from cylinder (14) at the level-control valve lever (15) | ||
10 | Unscrew compressed-air connection (10) at cylinder (14) | ||
11 | Unscrew diagonal control arm (2) at bearing block (3) | | |
12 | Unscrew stabilizer (17) at strut (1) | | |
13 | Remove trailing arm (18). | ||

15 | Lower rear axle and pull out from under the vehicle with the help of the wheel gripper | At the same time, detach suspension bellows (21) from upper support. | |
16 | Remove stabilizer bearing cap (20) | | |
17 | Remove stabilizer (17) from spring support (8) | ||
18 | Remove rear wheels (4) | To do this, lift rear axle at spring supports (8) and support with axle stands. | |
19 | Remove bolts (12) and lift rear axle from the spring supports (8) | | |
20 | Remove compressed air lines from brake cylinders (13) | ||
21 | Remove shuttle valves (22) from brake cylinders (13) | ||
22 | Remove diagonal control arm bearing block (3) from rear axle | | |
23 | Install in the reverse order | Installation: When installing, cotter pins, self-locking bolts and nuts must be renewed and wear parts must be checked for re-usability. |
