 Installation

All self-locking bolts must be replaced

Remove bottom section of soundproofing capsule

 Only remove bottom sections of noise encapsulation at the rear.

Remove exhaust system complete

Remove exhaust system

 Only remove the exhaust system at the rear.

Remove rpm sensors (L6/3, L6/4) (rear left and right) from wheel carrier

 Detach connecting cable from anchor of trailing arm.



Disengage parking brake and detach brake cable (right rear)

Disconnect left brake cable from front brake cable

Remove right rear (9) and left brake cable from frame floor (arrow) using sleeve



Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury caused by brake fluid coming into contact with skin and eyes.

Pour brake fluid only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.

Detach brake lines (8) from brake hoses (5)

 Seal off brake lines using suitable plugs.
 Installation: Do not twist brake hoses and route free from chafing.

Detach left and right brackets (7)

Place removal fixture (057) under rear axle


 Slide out guides of removal fixture (057) to bolts of longitudinal control arm and clamp using wing nut (arrow).

Detach rear axle (1) from frame floor



Lower rear axle (1) using removal device (057)

Install in the reverse order
