Release and disconnect brake pad wear sensor of electric line for brake pad wear display on right and on left brake caliper (11)

Remove electric line for brake pad wear display from right and left brake caliper (11)

Mark left rear rpm sensor (L6/3) and right rear rpm sensor (L6/4)

Remove rear left rpm sensor (L6/3) and rear right rpm sensor (L6/4)

7

Remove cable ties (arrows) from brake cables (4) and rear axle

8

Expose electric lines for brake pad wear display up to mounting support (34)

Expose electrical line for left rear rpm sensor (L6/3) and right rear rpm sensor (L6/4) up to mounting console (34)

Detach brake cables (4)

Unclip retaining rings from mounting console (34) and remove brake cables (4)

Remove right and left shock absorbers (17) from rear axle

Detach stabilizer bar (23) from rear axle

Pull vent line (20) out of frame

Remove propeller shaft (18) from rear axle flange and fix in place on vehicle

Do not allow drive shaft (18) to hang down.
Otherwise the needle roller bearing in the universal joint will be damaged.

Remove right and left brake caliper (11) and fix in to place on vehicle

Support rear axle using mounting plate and major assembly mount

Secure rear axle using tensioning strap against falling down

Unscrew nuts (21) from right and left spring U-bolts (1) and remove spring U-bolt (1) with plates (2)

Lower rear axle carefully

Remove holders for brake cables (4) from end cover on rear axle

When replacing rear axle.

Heat up bleed line (20) and remove

When replacing rear axle.



Mount holders for brake cables (4) onto end cover on rear axle

When replacing rear axle.

Carefully lift up rear axle using major-assembly mounting



Position the spring U-bolt (1) with plates (2) and tighten nuts (21) on right and left spring U-bolts (1)

 Replace nuts (21).

 Spring U-bolt on rear axle spring to rear axle

Release rear axle from mounting plate and major assembly mount and remove mounting plate and major assembly mount



Attach brake cables (4) to mounting support (34) and clip into retaining rings

Hook in brake cables (4)

Route electrical line of left rear rpm sensor (L6/3) and right rear rpm sensor (L6/4)

 Replace cable ties.

Route brake lining wear display electrical lines

 Replace cable ties.

Attach cable ties (arrows) onto brake cables (4) and rear axle

 Replace cable ties.

Coat left rear rpm sensor (L6/3) and right rear rpm sensor (L6/4) with grease

Install rear left rpm sensor (L6/3) and rear right rpm sensor (L6/4) into mounting hole

 Observe marks for restoring installation position.

 Screw/bolt, ABS sensor to rear axle

Mount electric line for brake pad wear display on right and left brake caliper (11)

 Replace bolts.

 Bolt, wear indicator to brake caliper

Assemble brake pad wear sensor with electric line for brake pad wear display on right and let brake caliper (11) until it locks

Remove rear wheel and tire assembly
