Remove rear wheels

Unplug cable of brake pad wear indicator (10)

Detach connection cable of brake pad wear indicator (9)



 Installation: Replace bolt (8).

Remove ABS sensor (11) and plug bushing (12) from mounting hole.

 To prevent confusion, label ABS sensors before disconnecting.

The ABS sensor cable on the right-hand side is labeled with white tape at the factory.

 Installation: Install ABS sensor.
Replace plug bushing (12).

Remove cable ties (arrows) on the brake line and expose connecting cable for brake pad wear indicator (9) and expose ABS sensor cable if necessary

Detach compressed-air line (4)

 Installation: Install new O-ring.



Detach both shock absorbers (20) at rear axle (5)



Detach stabilizer bar (15) from link rod (24)



Detach linkage of ALB controller (7) at rear axle bracket

 Installation: Replace nut (13).



Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury caused by brake fluid coming into contact with skin and eyes.

Only pour brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.

Unscrew brake lines from brake hoses (6), pull off holddown clips and remove brake hoses

 Seal line ends with plugs in order to avoid any soiling.



Pull bleeder line of rear axle out of the frame

Secure propeller shaft (21) to prevent it dropping down and unbolt at rear axle flange



Support rear axle (5) and secure to prevent it from tilting over

Unscrew spherical collar nuts (23) from spring U-bolts (2) and remove spring U-bolts (2) and plates (3)

 Installation: Replace spherical collar nut (23).



Remove rear axle.

Install in the reverse order

Check oil level in the rear axle without oil change

Correct if necessary: 
