Remove/install complete rear axle

6 Transmission shaft

7 Screw

8 Parking brake cable

	Remove and install
1	Remove rear wheels.		AR40.10-B-1100E
2	Drain the oil from the rear axle casing
			AP35.00-B-3501F
3	Slacken the clamp and remove the vent hose (2) on axle side
4	Remove the brake pads wear indicator (4)
5	Remove the bolt (9) attaching the ALB valve stem (10)
Danger!	Risk of poisoning by swallowing brake fluid.Risk of injuries by eye contact or splashes of brake fluid	Only store brake fluid in appropriate containers. Wear protective clothes and safety goggles.	AS42.50-B-0001-01A
6	Remove the hydraulic brake pipe (3)	 Plug the hydraulic pipe outlet to prevent clogging.
		Installing: Purge the air from the brake system.
7	Remove the flexible hydraulic brake pipe (5)
8	Remove the hydraulic connection (11) from the bracket
9	Loosen the parking brake cable (8)
10	Remove the shock absorbers (1)	Check the condition of the rubber bushings of the shock absorbers and the stabilizing bar. Installing: Install new self-locking nuts.

11	Remove the nut (15) attaching the stabilizer bar		*BA32.35-B-1001-03D
12	Remove the bolts (7) attaching the transmission shaft (6) and secure it to the chassis	 Mark beforehand the original position between the transmission shaft and the axle to maintain the balance.

13	Insert an appropriate elevation device under the rear axle and lift it	 Do not suspend the vehicle by the differential housing.
14	Remove the nuts (12), the spring pack "U" bolts (13) and the top guide plates (14).	Installing: Realign the "U" bolt threads with a thread chaser and lubricate.

15	Lower the axle and remove it
16	Install in reverse order
