| Disassembling | ||
1 | Remove the ring gear with differential | ||
2 | Compress the wire ring (9) and remove the claw coupling (8) mounted in the differential | ||
3 | Unscrew and remove the screw (14), the switch (16) and the pneumatic connection | The pressure switch must be removed along with the extender. | |
4 | Remove the entire front axle housing lock assembly | ||
5 | Apply compressed air in the master cylinder and remove the coupling sleeve (10) | ||
6 | Unscrew the screw collar (6) of the shifting cylinder (5) and remove the spring (2) and the piston (3) | ||
7 | Remove the guide-pin (7) from the cylinder (5) with a punch | ||
8 | Remove the bushing (1) with an appropriate mandrel | ||
9 | Remove the seal (4) from the cylinder (5) | ||
| Assembling | ||
10 | Assemble the new seal (4) in the shifting cylinder (5) | Oil in assembly. | |
11 | Insert the bushing (1) in the shifting cylinder (5), fitting it into the seal (4) in rotary motion and mount it with a suitable mandrel | The bushing should be facing the cylinder trailing edge. | |
12 | Mount the guide-pin (7) | ||
13 | Mount the piston (3) and the spring (2) | The groove of the piston should be aligned with the guide pin in the cylinder. | |
14 | Compress the screw collar (6) against the spring (2) and screw it into the cylinder (5) | ||
15 | Apply compressed air in the cylinder and mount the coupling sleeve (10) in the piston (3) | ||
16 | Mount the entire front axle housing lock assembly | Match the pneumatic switch air inlet holes between the cylinder and the housing. | |
17 | Mount the pressure switch (16) and the pneumatic connection on the front axle housing | Replace the seal rings. | |
18 | Assemble the claw coupling (8) on differential and lock it with the wire ring (9) | ||
19 | Install the ring gear with differential in the front axle housing | ||
20 | Adjust the pressure switch | ||
