1 | Visually check the stub axle for damages, cracks and wear of the bearing seats | If cracks are detected as well as an excessive wear of the bearing seats, replace the stub axle. | |
2 | Measure the stub axle | If the dimensions are not within the tolerances, replace the stub axle. | |
3 | Place the stub axle, by means of its centering holes, in a set of center points and check the eccentricity of the bearing seats | If the tolerances are exceeded, replace the stub axle. | |
