Remove left or right front wheel

Unscrew nut (1) securing transverse control arm (2) to flange ball joint (3)

 Installation: Counterhold pin on flange ball joint (3) using fork or box wrench.



Pry off flange ball joint (3) from transverse control arm (2)



Remove clamp (5) from stabilizer (4)

 Installation: Tighten nut of clamp (5) on empty vehicle only (approx. 75 kg curb weight on driver seat and full tank or approx. 20 kg curb weight in front-passsenger area).

Insert clamp (5) at a right angle to the stabilizer (4).



Remove bolt (6) and bolt (7) from transverse control arm (2) on front axle carrier (8) and remove link rod (9)

 Installation: Insert bolt head using grease.

If the link rod (9) is damaged during removal it has to be replaced.

Only tighten bolts (6) and bolt 7) when the vehicle is unladen (approx. 75 kg weight on the driver seat and a full tank or approx. 20 kg weight in the front passenger area)



Unscrew nut (10) from link rod (11)

 Counterhold link rod (11) with the tool assortment for stabilizer assembly.



Remove transverse control arm (2)

 Transverse control arms (2) must always be replaced in pairs.
