1 | Secure vehicle at rear axle to prevent it from rolling away | ||
2 | Remove wheels | Retighten wheel nuts after driving for 50 km. - Secure and shim front axle to prevent it from tilting. - Shim vehicle on chassis frame using jack stands. | |

3 | Unscrew brake line (10) from brake hose (11) and wheel brake cylinder (arrow) | Collect brake fluid which runs out and seal the line ends with suitable rubber plugs. | |

4 | Unclip brake hose (11) from bracket | Tie up the end piece of the brake hose at a suitable point on the body frame. Installation: Check the brake hose for brittleness and defective points. If necessary, replace. | |
5 | Remove tie rod | ||
6 | Unscrew damper (1) at bottom damper mount (2) | Installation: The self-locking nuts should be replaced. | |
7 | Remove spring U-bolt (3) | Check thread of the spring U-bolt for damage. If the threads are damaged, replace spring U-bolt and nuts. Installation: Lightly grease thread. | |

8 | Remove front axle | Use a suitable hoist. Lower the front axle evenly and pull forward under the vehicle. | |
9 | Clean front axle and place on suitable repair or assembly stands | ||
10 | Install in the reverse order | ||
11 | Bleed brake system | Check brake fluid level in reservoir | |

12 | Check track at front axle |
