Operate driver's door fully electric trailer hitch push button switch (S142/3) or liftgate fully electric trailer hitch push button switch (S142/2) until the ball neck is engaged in the end position.

If the ball neck is not engaged, the light-emitting diode on the driver's door fully electric trailer hitch push button switch (S142/3) or the liftgate fully electric trailer hitch push button switch (S142/2) starts to flash. The warning message "Trailer coupling slewing" appears in the head unit/instrument cluster display cluster.
When the ball neck is engaged, the light-emitting diode goes out and the warning message disappears.

Operate driver's door fully electric trailer hitch push button switch (S142/3) or liftgate fully electric trailer hitch push button switch (S142/2) and swivel back ball neck.
