6 | Disconnect white coupling (2-pin) (3) of trailer hitch wiring harness (1) from white connector (2-pin) (3) | ||
7 | Unscrew cable lug of brown line (br) of trailer hitch wiring harness (1) from right taillamp trunk ground point (W7/1) | ||
8 | Pry off wiring harness bracket of trailer hitch wiring harness (1) from studs on body | ||
9 | Remove cable ties from trailer hitch socket wiring harness (1) | ||
10 | Remove screws/bolts (5) for trailer socket (X58) from bracket | 3 screws/bolts. | |
11 | Remove rubber grommets (4) from body through-hole | ||
12 | Remove trailer hitch wiring harness (1) through body starting from the inside | | |
13 | Install in the reverse order | ||

14 | Perform function check of illumination signals on trailer socket (X58) | ||
