Lift vehicle on vehicle lift

Detach electrical wiring harness from trailer hitch (2)

Installation: Replace retaining clip and cable tie If necessary.

Detach trailer socket from trailer hitch (2) and place to one side with electrical wiring harness

Installation: Ensure that electrical wiring harness is routed correctly.

Unscrew bolts (3) with nuts and detach baseplates (5) from longitudinal members

Unscrew bolts (4) with nuts and detach angle sections (6) from longitudinal members

Nut/bolt, angle section to

Unscrew nuts from bolts (7) and remove baseplates (8)

Screw/bolt, crossmember/trailer hitch to longitudinal member

*BA31.10-N-1004-02A

Pull bolts (7) out of longitudinal members and remove trailer hitch (2)


Helper required.
Otherwise damage may occur.

Remove coupling ball (1)

When replacing the trailer hitch (2).
