The procedure for changing the parameter values is explained below taking the example of the stationary engine speed limit.
1 Connect hand-held tester to 14-pin diagnostic socket.
2 Switch on ignition.
3 Carry out short test.
4 Switch over to FMR (vehicle-engine control) menu.
5 Switch over to the Parameterization menu (switch over directly with numerical key 4, or press cursor keys and Enter key).

6 Select menu point Stationary speed limit (04) (switch over directly with numerical keys 0 and 4, or press cursor keys and Enter key).
A black arrow appears for the current stationary speed limit.
7 Change the set value to 1200 rpm with the numerical keys (1, 2, 0, 0) and confirm the entry with the Enter key.
If there are several parameters to be changed, change them during this operation.
If a value is entered which is not within the valid range, the message "Range was not reached" appears in the display of the hand-held tester (press Back key and return to the parameterized value).
If a switchover is made to a value which must not be paramterized, the message "Value must not be parameterized" appears in the display of the hand-held tester (press Back key and return to the parameterized value).

Correcting value entered
An incorrectly entered value cannot be overwritten. A new value can be entered after pressing key F3.
Printing out parameterized values
If the F2 key is pressed, this causes the values to be printed out (IBM/Epson or HP-compatible printer).
8 Switch off ignition.
The changed parameterized values are stored when the ignition is switched off. For legal reasons, the hand-held tester no. and the currrent date are automatically stored in the E module during parameterization.
