

Attention should be paid to the utmost cleanliness for all work on the transfer case

Remove shift mechanism

Turn the reduction gear (1) until the circlip (arrow) is visible

Expand circlip and simultaneously press input shaft from the bottom upwards

 Store the pressure plate (2) in a safe place as it is not available individually.

Pull out reduction gear (1) upwards

 Installation: Do not damage radial sealing ring when installing the input shaft.



Clean

Clean all parts.

 Only use lint-free cloths. Chamois leathers are the most suitable.

 After disassembly, all parts must be washed and blown out with compressed air. Pay attention to parts which can be blown away.

Install in the reverse order

Inspect transmission oil level

 The oil level is correct when the oil reaches the bottom edge of the filler opening. Insert the screw plug on transfer case with sealant
