Radial shaft sealing ring

 Danger

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Risk of injury to skin and eyes due to handling of transmission oil. Health risk caused by swallowing transmission oil

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
Do not pour transmission oil into beverage bottles.

Remove

Drain oil from transfer case.



Transfer case - oil change

Remove propeller shaft.

Remove radial shaft sealing ring (1).


Carefully remove radial shaft sealing ring (1).
Otherwise, the seat of the radial shaft sealing ring (1) at the transfer case is damaged.

 Dispose of radial shaft sealing ring (1).

Clean

Clean seat of radial shaft sealing ring (1) at transfer case.

Assembly cleaner

Check

Check seating of radial shaft sealing ring (1) on transfer case.

If damage is found,



Replace transfer case.

Install

Coat sealing lips of new radial shaft sealing ring (1) with transmission oil.


