Dismantling

Disassemble the transmission into its main components

Remove snap ring (16) from externally toothed disk carrier (1)

Take multi-disk pack (B) and spring washer (11) out of the externally toothed disk carrier (1)

Check multi-disks for scorch marks and wear

Place assembly device on spring plate (8) and compress against the spring load until the snap ring (10) is exposed

Remove snap ring (10) and the spring cup (8)

Remove spring washer (7) and the piston (6)

Blow carefully with compressed-air into the bore (A).

Remove snap ring (2) and take out free wheel (3).

Assembling

Insert free wheel (3) and fit snap ring (2)

Install piston (6) in the external plate carrier (1)

Check sealing rings (4, 5) and replace if necessary

Note installation position: The rounded edges of the sealing rings must point outwards

Insert spring washer (7)

Note installation position: Insert spring washer with the cone pointing towards the piston.

Insert spring plate (8).

Inspect sealing ring (9) and replace if necessary.

Note installation position: Insert spring plate with the curved side facing the sun gear

Position snap ring (10)

Place assembly device on spring plate (8) and compress against the spring load until the groove in the snap ring (10) is exposed

Insert the snap ring (10) and detach the assembly device

After installing, check snap ring for correct seating.

Insert spring washer (11)

Insert disk spring (16) and clutch pack () in the external plate carrier (1) and measure lamella clearance

Observe multi-disk sequence

Insert front free wheel (3) and fit snap ring (2)

installation position must be noted: the freewheel must be inserted in the direction of the arrow
