Remove/install radial shaft sealing ring at output flange

Removing

Remove noise encapsulation under engine and transmission

Unbolt propeller shaft from output flange (5)

Detach front propeller shaft intermediate bearing and put the propeller shaft to one side

Unscrew transmission carrier (3) at the transmission bearing/crossmember



Raise transmission (1) slightly

 Insert Universal plate in inspection pit lift, place 2 wooden blocks on edge of oil pan.



 Can also be used for supporting the transmission.

Remove center bolt (7) and detach output flange (5)

Detach transmission carrier (3) from transmission (1)

Remove radial seal (2)

 Do not damage seat of seal ring in housing.



Install

Use drift to drive radial sealing ring into the transmission

 Replace radial sealing ring and smear outside with sealing agent.

Drift for radial shaft seal at output flange

Attach transmission carrier (3) to transmission

 Bolt, rear console to transmission

Attach output flange (5) and screw in center bolt (7)

 Before installing, check the running surface of the radial sealing ring.

Lower transmission

Screw transmission carrier (3) onto transmission bearing

Bolt, rear console to transmission bearing

Attach propeller shaft intermediate bearing

Bolt, driveshaft center bearing support to frame.
