| Individual parts of valves must not be mixed up, mark if necessary. | ||
2 | Detach modulator valve housing (2) | Bolt, modulator valve housing to shift valve body | |
3 | Remove separator plate (8) | Observe sequence valve (44). | |
4 | Remove sequence valve (44), spring (42) and stop pin (43) | ||
5 | Detach cover (58) for trimmer valves | Cover is spring-loaded. Bolt, trimmer valves cover to shift valve body | |
6 | Remove clutch valve units | ||
7 | Remove accumulator valve (67), spring (65) and shut-off valve (66) | ||
8 | Remove pin (45) in front of shut-off valve (52) | Shut-off valve (52) is spring-loaded | |
9 | Remove shut-off valve (52), spring (51) and relay valve (50) for 2-3 gear shift | ||
10 | Remove pin (45) in front of spacer (49) | Spacer (49) is spring-loaded. | |
11 | Remove spacer (49), spring (48) and relay valve (47) for 1st-2nd gear shift | ||
12 | Remove strainer (46) | Installation: Replace strainer. | |
13 | Note latching position of adjusting ring (6) in modulator valve housing (2) | ||
14 | Remove pin (7), adjusting ring (6), spring (5), valve (4) and actuating rod (3) | 15 | |
15 | Remove shift/control valves | ||
| Testing | ||
16 | Clean all parts, check for wear and replace if necessary. | Use fluff-free cloths. Always pay attention to cleanliness when working on shift valve body. | |
17 | Assemble in reverse order. | Lubricate all parts with ATF transmission fluid before installing. | |
