4 Bolts with captive washers

5 Adjusting plate

6 Connector pouch

B73 Position switch

Removing, installing

Disconnect shift cable from shift lever (1)

Disconnect shift lever (1) from shift shaft


Installation: Replace lock washer (3); the shift lever (1) can only be installed in one position.

Remove position switch connector (S75) from connector pouch (6) and disconnect

Detach position switch (B73) from automatic transmission


Do not undo the adjusting plate (5).
Installation: The position switch (B73) can only be installed in one position on the shift shaft. The locating pin on the position switch (B73) must engage in the hole (arrow) in the adjusting plate (5).

Install in the reverse order

Check function of gearshift, if necessary:

Adjust the adjusting plate (5)
