Danger!

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.

Disconnect ground line from battery

Remove oil filler pipe for automatic transmission

Remove starter from transmission housing

 Do not disconnect electric cables.

Disconnect plug-in connector from electronic transmission control

Detach selector lever cable (1) from bracket

 Remove cable tie

 Installation: Apply light coating of grease to ball socket and ball head, replace cable tie.

Detach torque converter from driver

 To do so, remove the cover (2) in the transmission housing.



Remove engine crossmember at rear

Remove bracket (3)

Detach propeller shaft from automatic transmission

 Installation: Install new bolts.

Detach oil lines of automatic transmission oil cooling system

 Do not disconnect the oil lines from the transmission oil cooler.

Support and secure automatic transmission

Remove remaining bolts securing automatic transmission



Remove automatic transmission toward rear

 Secure torque converter to prevent it from falling out in order to prevent damage.

Install in the reverse order
