Remove

 Caution

Risk of injury to skin and eyes due to handling of transmission oil. Health risk caused by swallowing transmission oil

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
Do not pour transmission oil into beverage bottles.

Remove transmission from vehicle.

Remove transmission from vehicle.

Remove end cover (15) of shift rails from rear transmission housing.

 Ensure that shift shaft is in neutral position before performing removal of gear.

Remove detent bolts (16) locking the shift rails.

Remove cap (17) from rear end of the shift shaft on the front housing.

Remove selector shaft grub screw (18) using allen key.

Remove shift housing (19) along with shift shaft.



Install

Install shift housing (19).

 Ensure the position of dog teeth (spur gear with dogs) and locking pawl is aligned.

 Locate the locking pawl in line with the shift fingers and gently tap it to arrest the movement.

 Apply sealant film thickness to the shift mechanism sitting surface.

Loctite 5203 sealant

Tighten transmission housing bolts (134).

Install new grub screw (18) to right front section of transmission housing and tighten.

 Apply sealant in drops to the dummy cap.

Quick-acting adhesive, Loctite 270

Install cap (17) coated with quick action adhesive to the shift shaft.

Install end cover (15) of shift rails and tighten the bolts.

 Apply sealant film thickness to the end cover, of shift rails using roller.

Install shift detents (16).

 Installation: Avoid tighten the same.
