Remove

1

Detach propeller shaft from output flange (6) and place to one side.

 See information from body manufacturer.

Remove screw/bolt (1).

Remove main shaft rpm sensor (2) with O-ring and connected electrical line.

Remove bolt (3) .

 Counterhold output flange (6) using retainer wrench.

 Retainer wrench

Remove pressure plate (4) with O-ring (5).

Pull output flange (6) off output shaft.

Check

7

Check radial shaft sealing ring (7) for damage.

If damage is detected,



Install a new radial shaft sealing ring (7).

Check output flange (6) for damage.

If damage is detected,



Replace output flange(6).



Install

9

Heat output flange (6) to approx. 80 °C and install.

 Allow output flange (6) to cool down after installation.

Install new O-ring (5).

Install pressure plate (4) and screw in new screw (3).

 Screw, output flange to retarder main shaft

Install main shaft rpm sensor (2) with new O-ring and screw in screw (1).

 Bolt, main shaft rpm sensor to transmission housing

Attach propeller shaft to output flange (6).
