Disassemble

 Warning

Risk of injury. Skin or eye injuries may result when handling hot or glowing objects.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary.

Remove the taper roller bearing (2, 3)

 Hand pump

Remove the lock (4)

Remove the double intermediate gear (5) and the intermediate gear (6)

 Remove it separately using a hydraulic press.



Assemble

Heat the intermediate gear (6) and install it in the counter shaft

 Heat to 180 °C.

 Immediately after assembling the intermediate gear (6) fit it again free from axial play with a hydraulic press.

Heat the double intermediate gear (5) and install it in the counter shaft

 Heat to 180 °C.

 Immediately after installing the intermediate gear (5), fit it again free from axial play with a hydraulic press.

Assemble the lock (4)

Heat the tapered roller bearing (3) and install it in the counter shaft

 Heat to 80 °C.

 Assemble the taper roller bearing (3) without axial play.

Heat the tapered roller bearing (2) and install it in the counter shaft

 Heat to 80 °C.

 Install the tapered roller bearing (2) without axial play.
