1 | Remove gear set for 5th gear | ||
2 | Engage 3rd gear at the gearshift actuator (4) | ||
3 | Remove central clutch release bearing (2) | ||
4 | Remove backup light switch | ||
5 | Remove bolts (3) | ||
6 | Unlock shift rail (5) and unclip from the gearshift actuator (4) | ||
7 | Detach the transmission housing (1) from the clutch housing (7) using a suitable tool | ||
8 | Remove transmission housing (1) from clutch housing (7) | ||
| Clean | ||
9 | Clean sealing surfaces at transmission housing (1) and at clutch housing (7) | Assembly cleaner | |
| Install | ||
10 | Engage 3rd gear idler gear (6) at the shift unit for 3rd/4th gear (8) manually as shown | ||
11 | Apply sealant to the sealing surface on the clutch housing (7) | Sealant, Loctite 5970, 50 ml | |
12 | Pull the gearshift actuator (4) as far as the end stop in the direction of the arrow, hold it in place and place the transmission housing (1) onto the clutch housing (7) | ||
13 | Clip the shift rail (5) in place on the gearshift actuator (4) and lock | ||
14 | Position bolts (3) | ||
15 | Tighten bolts (3) from the inside to the outside | Bolt, transmission housing to clutch housing | |
16 | Install backup light switch | ||
17 | Install central clutch release bearing (2) | ||
18 | Install gear set for 5th gear | ||
