	Remove
1	Remove the range group shifting cylinder (1)	Vehicles with gearbox “mechanical” actuation.	AR26.18-B-3100TB
2	Lift out the threaded plug (2) and remove the spring (3)	 The threaded plug (2) is under pressure of the spring (3).
3	Put the gearbox in neutral	 Vehicles with gearbox “mechanical” actuation.
4	Pull the pin (4) approximately 15 mm out
5	Identify the shifting piston (5)	 Identify the shifting piston (5) in the “12 o'clock” position (arrows).
6	Remove the fork pins
7	Turn the shifting piston (5) 180° and pull out
8	Remove the guide bushing (11) and the radial seal (10)	 Inner puller	*000589263300

	Installing
9	Install the radial seal (10) against stop with the mandrel	Installing: Lightly apply synthetic grease on the radial seal (10) and install with the thrust washer pointing to the inside (oil side).	*BR00.45-B-1021-06A

10	Install the guide bushing (11) against stop with the mandrel (12)	 Mandrel	*714589051500
11	Install the shift piston (5) with the piston stem (6)	 The identification (arrow) on the shift piston (5) has to be at “6 o'clock” position.
12	Turn the shift piston (5) 180° and engage it in the shift fork	 Engage the shift fork in the piston rod (6) utilizing a screwdriver through the left side orifice of the fork pin (7).
13	Install the fork pins (7)	Installing: Apply chemical lock to the thread of the fork pin (7).	*BR00.45-B-1033-02B

14	Install the threaded plug (3) with the spring (4)	 It is essential that torque applied to the threaded plug (4) is as specified, otherwise the gearbox case will be damaged.
