Removal



Place the gearbox shift lever in “NEUTRAL” position

Remove the shift assembly

Remove the bolts (1) fastening the main cover (2)

Installing: There are bolts of two different lengths, observe their location.

Remove the main cover (2).

 Lift the cover until enabling removal of the actuation rods from the shift forks.

Disassemble the main cover (2).

Remove the sealing gasket

Installing: Thoroughly clean the contact surfaces and utilize a new sealing gasket.



Assemble the main cover (2).

Partially lower the cover (2) and fasten the actuation rods on the shift forks

 Before installing, install a new sealing rod.

 Lower the cover until enabling the fastening of the actuation rods in the shift forks.

Fully lower the cover (2), fasten the bolts (1) and tighten them to specified torque

 Install first the rear center bolt and next the front center bolt.

 Apply sealing compound on the fastening bolts, in case they are not of the pre-sealed type.
