Remove the gearbox

 Choose the procedure according to the cab or accessibility.

Install the gearbox (72) on the assembly trestle (73)

Remove the compensating washer (3) and the sealing rings (2, 11)

Remove the input shaft cover (8)

Remove the compensating washers (4), the sealing ring (5) and the O-Rings (9, 10)

Remove the oil deflector (6)

Remove the radial seal (7) from the input shaft



Installing

Install the input shaft radial seal (7)

 Apply long duration grease in the space behind the sealing lip of the radial seal (7).

Install the oil deflector (6)

 Lubricate the sealing lip of the deflector (6) with long duration grease.

Determine the compensating washers (3, 4) for the input shaft cover (8) and countershaft (1) cover

Install the compensating washers (3, 4) determined for the input shaft cover (8) and countershaft (1) cover

Install the countershaft cover (1)

 Apply chemical lock to the countershaft cover (1) bolts.

Replace the sealing rings (2, 11).

Install the input shaft cover (8)

 Apply chemical lock to the input shaft cover (1) bolts.

Replace the sealing ring (5) and the O-rings (9, 10).
