Remove/install

Remove cover on center part of dashboard

Remove panel at bottom for center instrument panel

Remove gearshift lever with bearing bracket (2)

 To do this, unscrew nuts (3).

 Nut, bearing bracket to instrument panel crossmember

Disconnect electrical connection (4)

Remove electrical wiring harness from backup lamp switch (S16/2)

 To do so, cut cable tie (5).

 Installation: Observe installation position, replace cable tie (5).

Remove backup lamp switch (S16/2)

 To do so, release lock (6) hold in unlocked position and pull out backup lamp switch (S16/2).

 Installation: Check for correct seating.

Install in the reverse order
