Remove/install range group shift cylinder

Remove

Disconnect compressed-air lines from shift cylinder (3)

Remove shift cylinder (3)

 Unscrew bolts on shift cylinder (3) until held by only three threads and press out shift cylinder (3) using compressed air at connection (45).

Remove O-rings (2, 4)

Detach sealing ring (1) from shift piston (5)

 Attach the shift cylinder (3) to the transmission with 2 bolts in a cross pattern and press out the shift piston using compressed air at connection (44). Detach shift cylinder (3) again.



Install

Place sealing ring (1) on shift piston (5)

 Replace sealing ring (1).
Pack space between the two sealing lips with synthetic grease.

Insert O-ring (4) in transmission

 Replace O-ring (4).
Coat O-ring (4) with synthetic grease.

Place O-ring (2) on shift cylinder (3)

Replace O-ring (2).
Coat O-ring (2) with synthetic grease.

Install shift cylinder (3)


