Danger! | Risk of poisoning from swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury from brake fluid coming into contact with skin and eyes. | Pour brake fluid only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.
1 | Connect connection line of bleeder unit to expansion reservoir (1) | Bleeder unit, pneumatic
Bleeder unit, electric
| Notes on handling brake fluid | All models | |
2 | Switch on bleeder and open the stop lever. | The pressure in the bleeder unit should not fall below 2.0 bar.
3 | Remove the protective cap (2) and attach the discharge hose (3) to the bleed valve (4)
4 | Open the bleed valve (4) and allow the brake fluid to continue flowing until no more air bubbles are visible in the discharge hose (3) | Open bleeder valve by at least 45°.
5 | Close the bleed valve (4)
6 | Remove discharge hose (3) and put on protective cap (2)
7 | Close the stop lever and remove the bleeder | Take care that the bleeder unit is not under pressure, if so then lower pressure in bleeder unit.
8 | 1Correct fluid level in expansion reservoir (1).
9 | Perform function check | If the clutch-release mechanism fails to provide satisfactory performance, repeat the bleeding operation.
10 | Check bleed valve (4) for leakage |
