Remove/install

Detach feed line (2) at brake fluid reservoir (1) and close off openings with suitable stop plugs

 Collect discharged brake fluid in a suitable container.

 Installation: Ensure gasket is correctly installed.

 Record plug

Detach pressure line (3) at clutch master cylinder (6) and close off openings with suitable stop plugs

 Remember that brake fluid will emerge.

 Installation: Check safety clip (arrow) is correctly seated.

Turn clutch pedal switch (S40/3) through 90° and remove upwards

Drive out pin (7) using punch

 Installation: Replace the pin (7).

Remove bolt (8)

Remove clutch master cylinder (6)

 Installation: Check grommets (4, 5) for damage; replace if necessary. Make sure that the grommets (4, 5) are seated correctly.

Detach feed line (2) from clutch master cylinder (6)

When replacing clutch master cylinder (6).

Install in the reverse order
