 Warning

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Remove/install

Drain off coolant.

Remove bracket with electrical connector (2).

Remove coolant hoses (3) from connection fitting (1).

Remove coolant line (9) from connection fitting (1).

Open clamp (4) at connection fitting (1) and push back on coolant hose (5).

Remove screw/bolts (6).

Remove nut (7).

Remove stud bolt (8).

 Stud bolt to cylinder head

Remove connection fitting (1).

 For this purpose, lift connection fitting (1) and remove from coolant hose (5).

 Installation: Replace seal. Check clamp (4) and coolant hose (5) for damage.

Depending on the findings,



Replace clamp (4) and/or coolant hose (5).

Install in the reverse order.



 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
