 Warning

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Remove/install

Drain off coolant.

Remove diesel oxidation catalytic converter and place to one side with connected lines.

Release tension of poly-V-belt and remove from belt pulley of coolant pump (1).

Remove screws (3) and remove bracket (2).

Remove ball stud (6).

Remove screw (4) at top at cable duct (5).

Unclip cable duct (5) at retaining clips (arrows) and set down.

Remove vacuum line (7) from coolant pump (1).

Remove screws (8 to 13).

 Installation: Tighten screws (8 to 13) in numeric order.

 Screw, coolant pump to coolant pump housing

Remove coolant pump (1).

 Collect escaping coolant in a suitable container.

 Installation: Install new gasket.
Align coolant pump (1) with housing.



Clean

Clean sealing surfaces with a lint-free rag.

Install in the reverse order.
