 Warning

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Remove/install

Drain coolant

Detach expansion reservoir and lay down outside the working area

 Do not remove hoses.

Remove poly-V belt (2)

Remove engine mount with integral engine support at the front right

Lift engine with floor jack

 Commercially available tools

Remove belt pulley (3) for coolant pump (1)

 For this purpose, remove screw/bolts (4).

 Bolt, belt pulley to coolant pump

Remove coolant pump (1)

 To do this, remove screw/bolts (5).

 Installation: Clean sealing surfaces and replace gasket.

 Bolt, coolant pump to crankcase

Install in the reverse order



Check

Check cooling system for leaktightness
